![]() ![]() ![]() Despite the lack of big name features, Waka comfortably carries the load with a tasteful smattering of original tracks and remixes of popular hip hop songs. The mixtape is comprised of 20 songs and features Troy Ave, Ron Browz, BJ the Chicago Kid, and Young Scooter. Although he's said many times that he's not a rapper, we're gonna have to respectfully disagree. 1 Waka Flocka Flame is far more lyrically nifty than we would expect from him. Like the mixtapes he has released in the past few years, on I Can't Rap Vol. However, since 2013, WFF has turned a new page, which he showcases on his brand new mixtape, I Can't Rap Vol. But after his 2012 follow up, Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family, failed to crack 80,000, it appeared Waka Flocka was flaming out. His debut album, Flockaveli, sold over a whopping 370,000 copies. Even after " No Hands" went triple-platinum, most hip hop fans didn't seem to perceive Waka as a talent, nor a serious player in the rap game. After Flocka's street anthem " Hard in the Paint," it appeared he was a quintessential hype-rapper, screaming over trendy Lex Lugar production. When Waka's first big single, " O Let's Do It," came out in 2009, it seemed that Gucci Mane had found himself a protege that rapped as goofily and unintelligibly as he did. Over the past two years, Waka Flocka Flame has gone from a guilty pleasure to a top-tier rapper in the highly-competitive southern rap game. ![]()
